Today is the day the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale opens for everyone! It runs through August 5th. I have a few more sale swatches and reviews coming up in the next few days but today I have a roundup of the best beauty sets I hauled for the skin, body, hair and home. There are a lot of great value sets and deals for beauty and as the ultimate beauty junkie I could not be more thrilled. For quick reference, you can see my initial haul post here. Also reviewed so far are the NARS Endless Summer Collection, Charlotte Tilbury sets and the Sisley All Eyes on Sisley Set. Several of the items I bought already sold out, I’m keeping my fingers crossed they will be restocked! I hauled quite a few of the sets this year:

A look at each set plus thoughts and first impressions. For the hair I always look forward to Moroccanoil sets. They often have jumbo sizes which are hard to find individually for me and I love when they come with a pump. I’m actually pretty stocked on shampoo and conditioner right now so I bought this year’s Moroccanoil The Ultimate Hydration Collection for my mother-in-law to try out. It’s $74 for a $104 value and contains a 16.9 oz Hydrating Shampoo, 16.9 Hydrating Conditioner, 0.69 oz Body Souffle and 0.84 Hair Oil Treatment.

For the body, I had to buy the Le Labo Body and Hair Travel Set for Andrew so he can have one for travel. Both of us love the Hinoki Shower Gel. It has a really potent unique scent that lingers after the shower. We’ve gone through several of the full size which I need to repurchase again. This particular set has four 2.5 oz sizes of the Shampoo, Conditioner, Shower Gel and Body Lotion.

The Malin + Goetz Jumbo Rum Body Wash came at a perfect time for me. I discovered it during our stay in Miami and fell in love with it. It has a gentle feel to it but has a really delicious dark rum scent. I usually gravitate towards body cleansers that have a little more strength in terms of cleansing. This one is gentle and works best if I lather with a wash cloth. I’m obsessed with the scent though and it does leave the skin soft. It’s 32 oz and comes with a pump. Win win for me.

The beautyblender blend.cleanse.carry Set has two pink beautyblenders, a mini solid cleanser and a carrying case. I was really excited about it but have to admit I was hoping it would be a hard storage case instead of a soft silicone case. This was my fault though as I did not read the online description and in store I didn’t take the time to touch it. The price cannot be beat though and I’m excited to put the case to the test.

Glamglow is always a go-to for me. I was tempted to stock up for myself but decided to stick with what I have and repurchase items I use up later. I did buy the Glamglow The Clear Skin Set for my brother. It’s a $96 value but for the sale it’s priced at $59 for a full size SUPERCLEANSE Clearing Cream to Foam Cleanser, SUPERMUD Clearing Mask (the best in my opinion) and a mini Matte Glow Moisturizer. I also bought the Glamglow x Becca We Know Glow Duo which just launched online. I have not had a chance to try this yet but did hand swatch the powder which applies like a warm gold color on the skin. I hope this comes out in a full size eventually. The pink gravity mud appears to be the same as the current silver version in the purple tube, just a different color.

The Diptyque Floral Candle & Eau de Toilette Set is a beautiful set with three mini candles in Baies, Roses and Tubereuse. It has the three matching spritzer perfumes in mini sizes which are perfect for me to carry around in my purse. I had been eyeing Do Son for months now although it’s more of a fall scent to me so I’m trying to wait before buying. The mini will get me by for now. It also has Eau Rose and L’Ombre Dans L’eau (also better for fall).

Last but not least is the Jo Malone Travel Candle Collection which has three 2.1 oz travel candles of Lime Basil and Mandarin, English Pear and Freesia and Peony and Blush Suede. This was an impulse buy for me. The only one I truly love is the Lime Basil scent so I might end up exchanging this for a couple of the full size candles or one of their hand washes instead.

I bought the Charlotte Tilbuery pink lip set. I wanted to also get the Tom Ford bronze Iris eye and lip set but it is sold out. My last purchases were the new hourglass dual ended powder brush and Nourish by Beauty Dust Co. these I bought in Sydney and I just got home 4 days ago. Nourish is a leave in conditioner anti frizz cream and I am in love! You can’t get it in the USA so I have 3 bottles!
I’m eying the Nest candle duo, the Ethics Candles Yellowstone’s Old Faithful Candle, and the NARS Undressed Liquid Lip Set I.

I ended up picking up the Charlotte Tilbury palette, several items from Gehwol (love it for the rough skin on my feet!), the YSL lip balm kit, the Creed ladies sample set (though I might return that one. Just samples for $70 – I am feeling kind of cheated!), the MAC Nordie girls palettes, and a few other things. A big haul for me this year!
So many beautiful things! I had my eye on the CT pink lip set. I’ve been wanting to try some Kopari, so that set looks like something I’d enjoy. The SimpleHuman mirror has been on my wishlist forever…and that it’s rosegold…love! I also hear good things about the Voluspa candles.
I stocked up on a couple favorites online, but was able to check out the NARS Endless Summer Collection in store, and fell in love with the nude lip set – totally unexpected purchase that I’m loving!
I always like looking during the sale but with my makeup I stick to natural and neutrals, and seem to always get the same colors for my lips! I love Nordstrom because you can try things before you purchase (in store) which is important to me. Thank you for the lovely reviews!

Love the Supermud, but wavered on getting the large size this year.
Can’t wait for your review on the Hourglass blush palette – I keep eyeing it, debating whether to splurge, but I haven’t read any reviews yet, so I’m a little hesitant.
I was rather tepid on the offerings this year. I wanted the Charlotte Tilbury blush palette but looking at the colors, I found them too deep and too warm for my cool, pale skin. I bought the Tom Ford set and the NARS Hot Escape Palette and that was it for cosmetics. I bought a marble print tissue box cover by Donna Karan for our bath. In clothing I got a Rails plaid shirt and a Ralph Lauren trench coat which I’m not sure I’ll keep because of the fit. Things that didn’t work were jeans from KUT and a beautiful coat from Badgley Mischka that I was so sorry to send back. It didn’t come in petite sizes and was just too long in the body and sleeves to make work, but the fabric and styling was just stunning.
I just ordered the Diptyque set and the Lancôme eye makeup remover set. I’m hoping the YSL balm set comes back in stock!

Great haul Sabrina! I purchased the Nars face and cheek palette, Sisleya anti-aging cream set for my mom and I got the eye and lip cream + mask for myself! I also wanted to purchase a few clothing pieces but the Canadian stores don’t have the same stock unfortunately.
I got the Anastasia brow kit, the Elemis lotion, the Oribe hair kit.
I always like to see what you’ve purchased or your suggestions. First purchase was the MAC lip duo and the Living Proof Perfect Hair Day set. I am also going to get the T3 dryer and I think I am going to splurge and try the GloPro.
So bummed to see most items on my wishlist be sold out by the time the public sale rolls around, especially the Supergoop setting spray and SPF powder and the Lancer jumbo scrub. Maybe it’s finally time to get a Nordstrom card!

I always take advantage of the anniversary sale to stock up on Anitica Farmacista room diffusers. I bought three each of Proseco, Orange Blossom, Pomegranate, and Ala Moana. Because I bought so many, I had them shipped and let me tell you, Nordstrom does an excellent job of packaging them. They all arrived in just a few days and were in perfect condition. I also picked up in-store four of the Voluspa Mini Candle Trios. I think three candles in pretty decorative tins all stacked together with a bow on top will make lovely hostess/impromptu gifts. I also plan on splitting up one of the stacks, placing each candle in one of those cute organza drawstring bags, attaching a small spring of flowers, and then using them as table favors for when a few of my gal-pals come to lunch next week. As for Diptyque, I passed because I’m a holdout for the holiday collection 😃 While picking up my candles, I succumbed to a couple impulse buys: the beauty blender travel set and the Moroccanoil set. I’ve never used Moroccanoil so that will be a new experience for me.

I was really interested in a few of the Bp sweaters but they are all sold out. I was also looking at some of the swatches for the Bobbi Brown, Laura Mercier, and Charlotte Tilbury palettes but none of them are quite what I want/need. I wish the BB palette had a little more variety of color with the eyeshadows and maybe a shimmer brick on the face side. I have a great LM palette already with similar colors and I would rather have the CT bronze and blush duo that you have mentioned here before. I think I will pick up the BB Shimmer Brick in Nectar and the ABH Norvina palette soon instead of anything from the sale!

This year I purchased more clothing than beauty. I ordered 2 shirts, 3 pair of Not Your Daughter’s Jeans brand – 3 pair for work, 1 pair of skinny jeans with a zipper at the ankle. My beauty purchase was the Armani set with an Extasy Mascara, make up remover, & 2 lippies. Personally I love Armani Extasy Mascara- it’s right up there with Chanel Le Volume as my favorite mascaras.
I keep peeking daily to see if the Tom Ford set comes back in stock ( I doubt it but will continue the dream). I just really wanted to try the brand especially since that quad didn’t look like a glitter bomb that unfortunately make up many of his eyeshadow quads. I don’t have Tom Ford products at my Nordie’s and can drive to Pentagon City in Arlington for TF & Charlotte Tilbury.
I plan to purchase one more thing – the Philosophy Jumbo Amazing Grace 3:1 set- I don’t fear they will run out of this item. And MAYBE the MAC Nordie Girl metallic palette.
I bought Shu Uemura’s Porefinist 2 Oil Cleanser, Cosrx AHA/BHA Clarifying Treatment Toner, and two sets of Cosrx Acne Pimple Patches. I have a non-Nordstrom’s wishlist but that’s purely fragrances at this point because I’m trying to simplify my skincare regime.

I hauled the Lanolips set that includes lip balm, hand cream and body milk. Also purchased Le Labo travel set, Bobbi Brown shimmering brick with brush and Ouai rose oil set.
I hauled both of the Nars undressed liquid lip sets and the cashmere mist deodorant trio. I was a bit unhappy when I saw that Cartagena (LE shade from II) was the exact same shade as staying alive from the velvet lip glide mini set Ulta sold last year around August.
I hauled the Nars Palette and I am still thinking about a Jo Malone set. Unfortunately, the Diptyque candle and fragrance were long sold out by the time I went to the store.

Tiny tresseme hair spray, a Sunday Riley kit so I’d have a small size Good Genes, and Sephora’s self-branded version of the makeup eraser cloth.
I don’t have Nordstrom here I live, but the 3 things I plan to purchase next are By Terry sun designer palette in hippy chic, Essie top coat Gel Couture and Becca Bronzer in Capri Coast !
