Chanel Sycamore #32 Rouge Coco + Paul & Joe Lip Lacquer Magnifique #10

March 6, 2010

Today’s lips of the day features the new Chanel Rouge Coco in Sycamore #32 and Paul & Joe’s Lip Lacquer Magnifique #10. Both colors are in the plummy-brown category.

I also used Paul & Joe’s #2 lipliner (not pictured) which is a perfect match for both colors. The lipstick has amazing pigment and those who like darker plummy-browns will really like this. It’s like a more brown version of the Crazed Rouge Allure (which is another favorite).

Swatch of all 3 lip items used:

I attempted lip swatches, but they turned out more red and a bit washed out than it looks in real life. In real life, the lipstick is a pretty plummy-brown shimmer and the gloss deepens the color and adds shine. The swatch photos really don’t do the lipstick/gloss justice.

Check out swatches on other blogs such as Karlasugar and Temptalia to try and get a better idea of the color on different skintones.

Just the lipstick (looks less reddish and more plum in real life):

Lipstick & gloss (note the sun makes it look lighter, this is actually darker in real life):

Love that color! I didn't buy it last week because I choose four other Coco Rouge colors. Went back to get it this afternoon and they were out of stock of that color!:(
Have to wait until it comes back in.

It looks very pretty on you and I like the gloss with it!
    Thanks.

Beautiful. I like it better without the gloss. Don't get me wrong – the gloss is beautiful but the lipstick is GORGEOUS by itself.

great combo – I will definately have to check out this color rouge coco. BTW, went to Bergdorf's last week and bought some P&J products (lipsticks, gloss, powder, lipliner and a cute cosmetic bag). The counter was out of the blush I wanted. The SA (Caroline) who helped me was great and I told her I read about the products on your blog. She was familar with your blog. Keep up the great posts.

Great shade, the lippies is gorgeous but I think it's even lovelier with the gloss – such a pretty autumn shade

    YAY Sabrina!!!
You used the only P&J lip lacquer I have – so pretty!!! I need to check out that Chanel lipstick now and see how that duo looks on me. I need to squash my fanatical lipstick buys – i just acquired 3 new MAC Cremesheen glosses…

your lips look smashing as usual!!

The color is beautiful on you! I don't even consider the lipstick dark, as my lips are plum-pink brown, and I gravitate towards these colors as natural, MLBB colors. Peachy-pinks, light pinks don't do anything to add definition or make me feel natural. I'm going to pick this one up. Love!
