I’ve been busy with a move, I didn’t plan to take a break from blogging but ended up having to take a few days off. I have quite a few new things I’m excited to share with you and hope to get everything unpacked from boxes in the next few days. In the meantime, here are some new things that have popped up online in the beauty world. Holiday collections and new releases are trickling in each day.
Diptyque has three new scents coming out this holiday in Spice, Winter and Resin (1). Three are available online at Neiman Marcus in the large size. If you are near a Diptyque Boutique, they will have an exclusive in-store one-day preview this Wednesday October 15 before it is released officially in November. (These will also be available in the smaller sizes too.)
Marc Jacobs Beauty The Sky-Liner Set (2) has 7 mini Highliner Gel Pencil set for the holidays. It has in O(vert) (forest green), Brown(out) (bronze with shimmer), Th(ink) (deep navy), (Plum)age (vivid purple), Blacquer (black), Sunset (golden bronze shimmer), Midnight in Paris (inky indigo blue). This is on my wish list.
Chanel Holiday (3) has arrived in stores and online. I bought the Volage Rouge Allure, Phenix Le Vernis, Les 5 Ombres Palette and Envol Illusion D’Ombre. I’m in love with the peachy lipstick and eyeshadow, more thoughts on the other items soon.
Oribe Liquid Gold Set (4) has mini 50 ml sizes of the Gold Lust Shampoo, Conditioner and Hair Oil. I tried a couple sample packets of the shampoo and conditioner and fell head over heels. I have some other shampoos I’m currently using now, so I may wait and get this set once those are used up.
Dior has added more shades to their 5 Couleurs Eyeshadow Palette line (5). I have Cuir Cannage and Versaille to share soon. There will be two limited-edition options for holiday as well in Golden Shock and Golden Reflections.
Tom Ford Beauty has new matte lipsticks for the holiday (6). I am normally not a fan of matte lips but saw these last week and splurged on four shades. The colors currently available are Pink Tease, Pussycat, Ruby Rush, Plum Lush, Flame, First Time and Velvet Cherry.
Bobbi Brown has several holiday items and sets this year (7). There are some really pretty items from the Scotch on the Rocks collection. I played with these briefly at the counter a few days ago. I have my eye on the Bronze Glow Highlight Powder, Black Scotch Gel Liner, Scotch Nail Polish, Bellini and Gold Glitter Lipgloss, I will need to play more before deciding whether or not these will be too shimmery or not.
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! I will resume posting as soon as I can, in the meantime I’d love to hear what’s on your beauty radar 🙂

Hi Sabrina, the only thing I have on my radar is to check out the Tom Ford lipsticks the next time I am at Neiman's. I'm not a matte person but I want to at least see them before I decide not to buy them. I can't wait to see your swatches. I have a question for you – what do you use to clean your Beauty Blender. I got a sample of the Beauty Blender was with some Sephora points but I ma not thrilled with it. I'm wondering what other people use to clean theirs. Thanks
Chiming in..the Beauty Blender solid–not the foam, works much better. I've heard people use Dr. Bronner's solid soap and the liquid and it works really well (doesn't take a lot and rinses well.)
Hi Jo, definitely check out the solid cleanser, I have both and find the solid much more effective. The Beauty Blender items are on my to-do list to review.
Thanks Sabrina and Michelle!
OMG! Where did you buy new TF Lipsticks from Holiday collection? Looking forward for your review:). From what I saw online I want Pink Tease and First Time. Also thinking about La Mer LE illuminating powder.
I bought the Le Mer illuminating powder and was a little disappointed. For me at least it is a night out type of product. There is quite a bit of visible shimmer particles in it. I was hoping for something that was less shimmer and more illuminating.
Jo! Thank you so much for letting me know about that shimmer! I will probably pass on La Mer Powder then. Does it lean pink or beige overall? Thank you!!
Hi Anon, it leans pink. I should say, it is not so much shimmer as it is that it has sparkles in it. The powder itself is nice and not that shimmery but if they had left out the sparkly particles it would have been nicer. That is what makes it an evening or special event only product for me. I would have liked the powder without the sparkles so I could use it during the day.
Anonymous, I found the lipsticks at the Tom Ford Boutique on Rodeo Drive.
Thank you Jo! Now, after you mentioned that it leans pink, I am thinking about getting it again. I have a weak spot toward anything with pink:)!
Thank you Sabrina! I might have to schedule a trip to Beverly Hills Neiman Marcus to check them out in person:)
Hi again Anon – Lisa Vanerpump is that you!!! LOL Seriously I think you will like the powder. I don't regret my purchase it just was not exactly what I imagined it would be.
Yes I so need that Marc Jacobs set in my life
The Marc Jacobs eyeliners look so completely stunning!

Hope your move went well. Unpacking boxes is not exactly my idea of fun but it is so nice to organize from scratch. I am REALLY looking forward to your thoughts & swatches on the TF mattes. I want to try at least one but am undecided between First Time, Pink Tease and Pussycat.
I can hardly wait to see what you think about TF's matte lipstick. I almost never wear a matte lip because it can look very harsh on old lips like mine and the formula can be quite drying. When I saw Plum Lush; however, I simply couldn't resist. And, since I was going to take the plung into the realm of matte, I added Pink Tease for good measure 🙂 Thus, I came away with two beautiful, rich colors–Plum Lush for evening and Pink Tease for day. I do have to prep my lips well to wear these beauties, but they're absolutley worth it. I slather my lips with extra moisturizer and let it sink in while I do my makeup. I then apply Baume de Rose generously and follow it with the lipstick. As Tim Gunn would say, "Make it work!" 🙂
I recently purchased the Oribe Gold Lust line (shampoo, conditioner and the Balm d'Or). After using everything for about 2+ weeks now, I'm slightly underwhelmed. I used the Color line before and I loved that but not as crazy about Gold Lust. I have fallen totally in love with the new Kerastase Discipline and will likely purchase that once I finish Gold Lust. I'm looking forward to seeing Chanel Fall color in person. – Zeynep
I am also interested in the new Bobbi Brown holiday nail polishes! I've never used any of her nail polishes before. Does anyone know if they are long lasting and chip resistant?
I have just ordered Black Scotch Gel Liner can't wait to try it
I picked up that Marc Jacobs liner set recently and am happy I did. Great way to try these, and cute mini form, I rarely ever finish up liners anyway, except for black ones.
Chanel all the way!!!
Lots of love, xx

I'm new to your blog (although I'm not sure how I've missed it!) I've spent hours on here already. Thank you, thank you for all of your reviews and lovely pictures. I love the Dior 5 couleurs palettes. Looks like I will have to buy Versaille. My eyes keep coming back to that one! Although Golden Reflections is also beautiful. Can't wait for your thoughts<3333
