I’m officially one week into my 28-day long take-down challenge / workout bootcamp and I’m going through major cookie, cupcake and candy withdrawals but overall feeling good by eating healthier. It’s really difficult to resist the unhealthy foods – all I can think about is Sprinkles Cupcakes. I’ve been successful in sticking to the meal plans so far but if you have any diet tips I’d love to hear them. This weekend I went through a substantial stack of magazines but only found a few really inspiring. Glamour always has interesting articles and topics I feel like I can relate to. Do you still read print magazines? Which ones are your favorites?
Right now five beauty things I’m loving include:
- Chanel’s Give It Shine Trio especially Amour Glossimer a glossy sheer lush peach
- Marc Jacobs Beauty Enamored Hi-Shine Nail Lacquer in Milk is a pretty nude (swatches)
- NARS Satin Lip Pencil in Lodhi with a sheer pale gloss layered on top
- Tatcha Indigo Soothing Silk Body Butter is the only thing that works for me now to soothe dry itchy patches and moisturize the skin, I like this at night
- Glamglow Supercleanse Daily Cleanser is so incredibly good, review soon
Weekend reads I’m loving right now along with some beauty news:
- Jo Malone Rock the Ages Collection coming this spring – The Sunday Girl
- Chanel will be launching reformulated versions of their Rouge Coco Lipsticks – Beautezine
- Swatches + review of the NARS Spring 2015 Collection – Makeup and Beauty Blog
- Details and the 411 on Bite Beauty’s #001 Creme Deluxe Lipstick – Temptalia
- A first look at Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil – Café Makeup
- Steps to create a pretty DIY Floral Bouquet – Erika Brechtel
- Beautiful dreamy pictures of beaches, sunsets and more – Paris in Four Months
What are you loving right now? P.S, I’m behind on responding to a lot of e-mails from readers but here’s a quick thank you for some of your kind notes over the last week. I was really touched by some of the e-mails I received, I hope to get caught up with responses very soon, hoping today!

Yes, I still read print magazines :-). I love relaxing in a fragrant bath and enjoying the photography and articles without worrying about getting my e-reader or iPad wet. Also, I have chronic migraines and on those days when I'm experiencing aura, I can relax with a magazine whereas electronic devices exacerbate the visual disturbances. I give bonus points to printed magazines because they can be easily shared. I take my "gently read" magazines to a battered women's shelter that I support and to an assisted living facility near by.
As for loving right now, La Mer's The Treatment is at the top of the list. I've been using it for about six weeks now and my sensitive skin feels more hydrated and less irritated. It is one of those Asian style toner-lotions like SKII that you sprinkle in the palm of the hand and then pat all over face, neck, and décolletage. Less than 1/4 teaspoon is more than enough to saturate everything. I still use my beloved SKII Cellumination Mask-In lotion because that one is more about promoting an even skin tone thanks to the pitera and niacinamide, but for soothing hydration, I'm loving The Treatment.
Hi Sabrina –your posts are so beautiful! I'm happy that you are on your bootcamp journey–and a little jealous! I'd love to start a regime. I guess the only advice is to keep doing what you are doing–your body will do what you tell it, and your mind/spirt will thank you later. Also, remember that hardest days are the ones that are the most valuable! (hugs!)
I cannot wait to try more Nars products over the next year. Lovely post x

I only ever read In Style or Allure regularly. I'll read Marie Claire or Lucky if I have time. In Style and Sunset or Food and Wine are the only mags I buy.I like In Style because it covers a gamut of subjects. Allure and Lucky are great for hearing about new beauty products. Marie Claire always has some good expose in it. Sunset is an all around joy to read with great photos. Food and wine always has nice recipes.
I've been loving the NARS lip pencils too, they're just so good! x

hi sabrina!! oh, i love magazines! my favorite is british vogue (followed by australia, paris …), i love their double ,thick , glossy pages with the best photography, dreamy locations and my favorite models. i'm always loving hand cream and lip balm this time of year. decleor and my large tub of aquaphor are my big loves this time of year. makeup? i'm still loving some of my chanel products from their holiday collection. i also really like kevyn aucoin's new eye pigments. and, i'm loving images from chantecaille's spring collection.
I've taken to cutting any photos/articles I love out of magazines & sticking them in a scrapbook. I collect too any magazines throughout the year that I don't end up touching again so it's a great idea for me.

I love reading Vogue and Glamour. They're 2 of my faves. I'm also a big fan of the Marc Jacobs nail lacquers. I only own Lux but I love it so much! It's the first polish I've ever come close to finishing. I also have that NARS pencil and I've only used it like once lol. It's such a pretty color though. I'll have to find it

Okay, what I love right now and still is your Blog!
Love magazines, your guys in the states are lucky, because they are so affordable.
I can not live without the U.S. alure, the import is really expensive here…
Greetings from Germany!
the last few years, i only ever read allure and lucky. allure is the only subscription i still have, and my lucky one expired last spring… though I may renew it! I was just at barnes & noble looking at magazines, but nothing really looked that good! :/ but this is always a slow time of year for magazines, so I guess I'll see what next month brings.
