Earlier this year Sisley-Paris launched a luxurious hair care line called Hair Rituel by Sisley designed to nourish the hair and scalp. I fell in love with every single item and have a review of everything launched to date. At this time they have seven pieces in their four step treatment routine:
- Step 1: Clean and Detangle with either the Revitalizing Volumizing Shampoo or Revitalizing Smoothing Shampoo, follow with the Restructuring Conditioner
- Step 2: Regenerate with the Regenerating Hair Care Mask
- Step 3: Fortify with the Revitalizing Fortifying Serum for Scalp
- Step 4: Beautify with the Precious Hair Care Oil and or Volumizing Spray
Since moving to Florida I’ve found it challenging to maintain healthy and hydrated hair. Many of my Florida readers experience the same issues with heat, humidity and hard water. Even with a water filter many shampoos don’t lather or rinse quite the same. The Hair Rituel by Sisley has been among the few that I’ve kept using and like so much I’ve repurchased after using up press samples.
To cleanse the hair I really like the Revitalizing Smoothing Shampoo. I’ve gone through multiple bottles and think it is 100% worth the high price tag. It does help smooth the hair without making it feel heavy. It contains macadamia oil which has helped strengthen, nourish and add shine. It has a beautiful gentle scent to it and lathers/foams well. I shampoo daily.
The Restructuring Conditioner is a great gentle daily use kind of rinse out conditioner, although this is a step I don’t use daily. It’s like an instant shot of hydration for the hair and truly helps with detangling. I’ve never had issues with tangling until I moved to Florida. It helps smooth out the ends with a lightweight finish so your hair is not weighed down.
The Regenerating Hair Mask is something I use 1-2x per week. This is one of the best hair masks I’ve tried to add shine but not weight. So many hydrating hair masks won’t rinse out properly or are simply too heavy/rich for humid weather. This one has just the right combination to nourish ends of hair and scalp. It has four main oils Shea, Macadamia, Camellia and Hazelnut.
For the scalp they have a really nice Revitalizing Fortifying Serum for the scalp. This is the first time I’ve used a scalp treatment at home and it does help soothe it. It has an earthy kind of scent, something I’d associate with Aesop’s skincare line. A little can go a long way and I use this 1x per week only at night or as needed. Since I’ve started using the other items I’ve had less scalp issues, but during the dry season here in Florida this helps immensely.
Last but not least are two styling products. The Precious Hair Care Oil is one of the most beautiful elegant hair oils I’ve tried. I think it is my favorite item in the collection and suitable for any hair type. This one is lightly hydrating to add shine and softness to the ends without being heavy. It’s great for me because it’s lightweight and in Florida humidity it won’t weigh it down.
The latest launch is the Volumizing Spray which adds a nice texture throughout the hair. I use it on damp hair, spray at roots and brush it through. I follow with a blow dryer. By the time hair is dried you will notice it has more volume but also some texture. Hair is noticeably thicker with a more piecey look.
In addition to the full size products they’ve also launched a travel set in two variations called the Hair Rituel Smoothing Discovery Set and Volumizing Set. Both of which are a great way to try the items out before splurging on the full sizes. They each contain shampoo (one has the smoothing, one has the volume option), conditioner and hair mask in 1.6 fl oz/50 ml sizes and a hair oil in .33 fl oz/10 ml.
If you are able to visit the store in NYC or their counter at Saks they have the Hair Rituel line along with Yves Durif brushes:
Final thoughts are this line comes at a hefty price tag but everything performs really well. I’ve already repurchased the Smoothing Shampoo a few times over along with the Regenerating Hair Care Mask. I’ve found over the years many of my readers don’t necessarily want to splurge on makeup, but are definitely more willing to splurge on hair care or skin care. If you’re new to the line I think the Discovery Sets are the best way to start. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. The shampoos work well to tame frizz and smooth my hair. I really love the mask to help with my ends.
Although I do think every piece is exquisite, my top two absolute favorites are the Regenerating Hair Mask and Precious Hair Oil.

Many thanks to the Sisley team for providing the Hair Rituel items for review and also for hosting the giveaway.

Interesting – will check out the oil!
Wish I could afford to buy sisley. 🙂 By the way, your hair is beautiful Sabrina!
Thanks for the giveaway! Cant wait to try the Sisley haircare line
have the previous Sisley oil for hair and scalp (discontinued). it was really good and i repurchased it several times, excited to try the new line
I love Sisley so much. From the samples I tried I really love love love the oil. Right now ‘splurges’ have been from the Sisley skincare line because it is perfection. I do really need to try the haircare line though.
Loved hearing about all the Sisley hair care pieces. I have and LOVE the Precious Hair Oil… I need to try the rest! Thanks for another great post!
I have tried (and love) Sisley skincare, but not their hair care. Right now I am very fond of Aveda’s Invati shampoo.
I have not tried the new Sisley hair line. I’ll be honest, the high price point has me hesitant. I’d love to get samples or smaller sizes to try before I buy. I currently use Pureology shampoo and conditioner with Shu Uemura volumizing mousse.
I have never tried their haircare, but I am currently using Biolage Hydrasource, but it defintiely is not my holy grail.
I’m so interested in that scalp serum. I *just* tried out the new Olaplex 4 and 5 along with 3 and Madame CJ Walker’s scalp exfoliator the last time I shampooed and was extremely impressed with how my hair looked and how my scalp felt the past 3 days (although I did think the shampoo took a bit more color than I would like – my hair is blue). I was previously using Davines Dede shampoo and Oribe conditioner (the red one) so I’ll have to do a bit more testing out to see.
I am just starting to get into this brand. So far so good with the makeup. I JUST bought the scalp serum but haven’t tried it yet. Tonight will be my first time. Super excited!!!!
Have not tried any of the Sisley hair products (yet!). However, I tried the Verb Ghost shampoo and conditioner after you recommended them, and have loved it! I was actually looking at my shampoo bottle today and thinking I will have to replace soon… but will definitely consider this Sisley line!
Have been using this hair care line for more than two months now and so so happy with the results.. everything worth the prize..specially serum and hair oil are amazing..❤️

I was not aware that Sisley had a hair care line. I will have to check this out since they are being so highly recommended. Thanks for another great review.
Love Christophe Robin’s volumizing line as well as Ouai rose hair oil. You are my favorite beauty reviewer!
Have not tried their hair care, current fav is L’Oreal professional line, their oil shampoo. It smells just like Bobbi Brown beach perfume.
Have not tried it, but I love the garnier treasures honey hair line.
I have not tried this Sisley line yet, but would love to. I use the Verb (hydrating or volumizing shampoo) and either
the Verb ghost oil or the Bumble invisible oil.
I believe have not tried any of the Sisley line but they sound interesting. Usually I use shampoo from garnier or the shampoo/conditioner from Just For Redheads. I have never used either a hair oil or scalp serum. Those seem like categories of hair care that I need to look in to.
I haven’t used any of their hair products but your review is tempting me to do so! No favorite shampoo but my color treated curly hair loves Briogeo Don’t Despair Repair deep conditioning mask.
I love the Precious Hair Care Oil! I haven’t yet tried the hair mask, but think I just might now. 🙂
I have several Sisley hair product samples but haven’t tried them yet. After reading you review I am eager to try it! Currently using Shiseido Tsubaki line.
I like the ‘TEN’ line by Alterna for moisturized sleek locks (like yours!). And nothing gives you airy bouncy I-didn’t-try-that-hard hair like the sea salt scrub by Christophe Robin!
Eager to try their hair products!
I wear my long, very curly blond hair air dried and natural, so good products are key. Plus I’m a swimmer, so my hair is subject to sun, salt water and chlorine almost daily here in Los Angeles. I’m always looking for the next great thing, and these Sisley products sound terrific. Lately, I’ve returned to Moroccanoil shampoo, conditioner, hydrating creme and oil and the results have been good. I also like Oribe styling shine creme.
I haven’t had the opportunity to use Sisley’s hair care line as yet. My current fave is Bumble & Bumble’s Bb Gentle shampoo.
I haven’t tried any of these products but have heard great things about Sisley products. I don’t really have a favorite shampoo and conditioner at the moment so I would love to try these out
I had no idea they had a hair line. I’m excited to give a few products a try
My current favourite shampoo and conditioner is the Be Gentle, Be Kind Superfoods Hair Pack from Briogeo.
I’ve been very curious about this hair range for a while. Thank you for such a great review!
Thank you so much for this great review, Sabrina! I haven’t tried the Sisley line of hair care before, but after reading your review, I may just have to. I need nourishing oils and to hydrate my hair more. It gets so dry on the ends during summer because I blow it out straight.
I haven’t tried this line but I’m pretty lucky with my hair. It’s not too dry or too oily, it is really voluminous without being overly so, and can be styled pretty much any way it wants. I can’t even physically wash my own hair right now because of the health stuff but the fact that my hair is already in really good condition makes that much easier to deal with as I only need to wash it about once a week and I can even get away with using a 2-in-1 product (as too much messing with my neck can cause more pain) if I’m having a worse than usual pain day. If I get better I definitely want to play with product more though, simply due to boredom!
Sisley products are overpriced & over rated. There are too many better & less expensive products on the market to invest in these things. Aveda makes fine, organic & healthy hair products (and skin) that are far better than Sisley. So does Oribe.
I haven’t tried Sisley hair products before but curious about them.
Thank you for listing the full ingredients! Silicones make my hair flat and I wanted to be sure of the ingredients before trying this line out.
Excited to hear about this new hair care range by Sisley sincei i’m in the hunt for new hair products that don’t weigh down hair! Great review as always <3
I am with you Sabrina, this is an amazing line. i own the oil and i am in love.
Hi Sabrina ~ just purchased the Sisley shampoo for volume and the conditioner. Jury is still out, need to use it a few more times. I’ve loved all the Oribe products for years and I think they are pretty hard to beat. But was interested in an alternative. Hope to love the Sisley.
Your hair looks so healthy and beautiful.
I envy your hair in this horrible state of hair affairs known as Florida! Mine is bleached and I use a flat iron. otherwise it is a puffball of frizz.
Saw the Sisley hair products at Cos Bar in Charleston but ended up buying makeup instead. I switch up on my hair products but always use the Oribe oil and AG Firewall flat iron spray. For shamp/cond I use Sudzz or Fekkai Ironless or Schwartzkopf Bonacure. I always rotate these products.
Your hair is a great endorsement for this haircare line!
Love the idea of the Sisley products, but the price tag is just a bit too high. Normally I stick with Verb products, but the Discovery Set really might be worth it to try out the new products, without having to get the full size!
Really love this thorough post.
Really debating buying the hair oil. I currently use the Christophe Robin Prickly pear balm (which I love) and I have the Ouai oils but not too big a fan of those. Thanks for the review!
I haven’t tried any of the Hair Rituel by Sisley products but they sound very promising. Your hair looks great!
I haven’t tried any of the Hair Rituel but going to see if they have a sample when i head to NM for their Beauty Event tomorrow – Thanks for the giveaway
I enjoyed trying these when I got my Sisley monthly box. Highly recommend if you have the money to purchase.
I’ve been using the mask for the last month and I have to say I’m impressed by the noticeable improvement in my hairs texture and shine. It’s definitely an investment but I think it’s worth it. Also if you are a fan of this line i’d recommend looking at Iles Formula too…they are incredible as well!
I haven’t tried any of the Sisley Hair Ritual but I would love to! I am with you, I always love a good deep conditioner/hair masque and hair oil. I am currently loving RandCo, particularly the Television shampoo and Conditioner. I have been trying different hair masques, but still love the Phillip B deep conditioning oil. Thanks for the giveaway!
I got a few samples of the sisley hair mask and it is life changing. I live in Texas and humidity is not my friend! It has changed my hair from frizzy, highlighted, and dry -to shiny, smooth, and bouncy. I also use Oribe shampoo for beautiful color.
Hmmm, I’m in the market for a new volumizing product – I think I’ll try this one! Perfect timing. 🙂
I havent tried any of the Hair Rituel by Sisley products, but I really like the Verb Hydrating Shampoo and conditioner.
Tried the smoothing shampoo, it was lovely! Would love to try other products. Currently use Pureology Hydrate shampoo; I’ve yet to find a wonderful conditioner.
Thank you for the giveaway, these sound incredible!
I have been wanting to try this line so badly! Right now I am loving the Every Day Shampoo and Supernatural Conditioner by Playa.
Aw, man. I wish the discovery kit had at least a foil packet of the scalp serum. I want to try that one the most.
